Ryder and Mare was originally a creative dream of Lauren Akins. With her long-term friend, April Tomlin, they formed a partnership for a children’s apparel brand. Accompanied by April’s drive and Lauren’s dream, Ryder and Mare came to fruition on a 2023 beach trip.
The brand is centered around faith and fun. As a couple of busy moms who love their littles, Lauren and April wanted a brand that would not only be exciting to create, but wonderful for children to wear. More importantly, they wanted children to be clothed in truth. The sayings on these creative pieces are from scripture and depicted on the back of each item.
Lauren's master doodling abilities and April's interior design background have made this creative endeavor exciting for both of them. They hope you love it as much as they do!
